From Research to Real-World Impact: New MEDViEW Conference Paper

We are pleased to announce the publication of a new MEDViEW conference paper, “MEDViEW: Medical Research Valorisation through Intelligent Engagement of Citizens for Wellbeing.”

The paper presents the MEDViEW approach to bridging the gap between well-being research and its real-world uptake in practice, products and policy. At its core is a human-centric approach to knowledge valorisation that brings together citizens, researchers, healthcare and well-being practitioners, industry and policymakers through co-creation and sustained stakeholder engagement.

It also introduces MEDViEW’s main building blocks – MEDCOMM, MEDLEARN, MEDGUIDE and MEDSPACE – which together aim to strengthen collaboration, build practical knowledge valorisation capacities and support the uptake of research and innovation across Europe.

The conference paper was authored by Izidor Mlakar, Jurgita Šikšnienė, Thanos Yamas, Zoe Zacharouli, Eleni Provopoulou, Cristal Skaling-Klopstock, Anastasia Papachristodoulou and Tanja Zdolsek Draksler and is connected to the ISAG 2026 Symposium, held in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

The publication is openly available on Zenodo.
