MEDViEW project partner is hosting a Summer School to explore future directions for AI in healthcare.

From 8–12 September 2025, the University of Maribor (Slovenia) is hosting the BosomShield Summer School “From AI Research to Clinical Implementation”, a five-day event dedicated to advancing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical practice.

The programme combines keynote speeches, interactive workshops, and showcases of cutting-edge Horizon Europe projects. Topics will span the full pathway from AI development to real-world implementation, with a strong focus on cancer care.

Highlights include:

  • Policy perspectives from EU and national leaders on AI in healthcare.
  • Insights into clinical trial design for AI-driven cancer research.
  • Presentations of innovative EU-funded projects (BosomShield, RAIDO, TARGET, SHIELD, DIOPTRA).
  • Opportunities for young researchers and students to engage in collaborative tasks.

Designed as a hybrid, free-to-attend event, the Summer School will serve as a meeting point for clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and innovators, encouraging cross-sector collaboration and co-creation of solutions for improved human well-being.
