During the week of 13-16 May 2026, MEDViEW partner University of Maribor (UMA) actively contributed to two international conferences, presenting recent research and dissemination activities carried out within the MEDViEW project. Through these contributions, UMA helped bring MEDViEW’s work on knowledge valorisation, digital solutions, and citizen-centred health and well-being to multidisciplinary audiences across Europe. At ISAG 2026 – International Symposium on Applied Geoinformatics, held from 13-15 May in Ostrava, Czech Republic, the University of Maribor team delivered a conference presentation on knowledge valorisation. The contribution explored how geospatially informed frameworks can support the transformation of research knowledge into practical value, a topic closely aligned with MEDViEW’s mission to strengthen the uptake and application of research results in the field of well-being

Maribor University also represented MEDViEW at the 20th EAPC World Congress – European Association for Palliative Care, held from 14-16 May in Prague, Czech Republic. Under the theme “Palliative Care Research: From strong foundations to new horizons”, the team contributed through an immersive workshop, a panel discussion, and a dedicated talk, highlighting the role of digital and AI-driven solutions in early palliative care and the valorisation of research knowledge in sensitive healthcare contexts.
Together, these activities mark a productive week of international dissemination for MEDViEW and underline the project’s commitment to sharing knowledge across scientific communities and supporting innovative, AI-assisted approaches to health and well-being.
